Brannen Bank has been providing personalized banking service since 1926 when our founder, George H. Brannen, Sr., established the first Brannen Bank in historic Homosassa ... the Bank of Homosassa, which was relocated to Inverness in 1929 and renamed The Bank of Inverness. Since then, we have grown and expanded to 12 convenient locations in Citrus, Marion and Hernando Counties. Offices are located in Inverness, Floral City, Hernando, Beverly Hills, Crystal River, Homosassa Springs, Dunnellon and Brooksville.
Brannen Bank, was the only bank in Citrus County to survive the economic crash of 1929 and the Great Depression. We are Citrus County's oldest and one of its largest commercial banks. Our corporate office is located on Highway 41 South in Inverness. Eight other branch offices are conveniently located throughout Citrus County. In addition, we have two locations in Hernando County and one in Marion County.
Friendly, Efficient and Innovative
We have grown and changed a lot since 1926, opening the Dunnellon location in 1946, the Crystal River location in 1954, the Homosassa Springs location in 1970, and the Brooksville location in 1987. Although our history has been one of continual growth and development, the key qualities have remained the same. Our reputation for providing the very best in friendly, efficient and innovative banking services is one that we have carefully built over the years. Our highest honor, however, is simply to have earned the title of being your full-service "Hometown Bank."
